- Referal Services
- Liaison Services between Southern Sudanese Citizens and US Police and other US Officials
- Notary Services
- Maintance of a registry of US Businesses interested in doing business in Southern Sudan, and one of US travelers to Southern Sudan
- Coordination with the Embassy of the Repulic of Sudan in: 1)helping Southern Sudanese in the areas of Visas and Passports - functions that can only be performed by the Embassy, and 2)expediting the visa process for Americans who want to travel to Southern Sudan
- Consultation with experts in US Laws, Economic andn Political conditions, and the Social and Cultural setting in order to make informed and rapid decisions affecting Southern Sudanese Citizens in the United States of America
- Referal Assistance to Southern Sudanese citizens to help them obtain emergency medical assistance.
Social Services
- Provides information about the social and cultural context of the Government of Southern Sudan’s foreign Policy by presenting a full picture of the values, beliefs and guiding principles held by the citizens of Southern Sudan which influence not only Southern Sudan domestic politics but its foreign policies as well
Community Services
Although the office of Community Affairs officer is not yet defined, the officer has been doing the following:
- Responding to numerous community concerns throughout the United States
- Acting as a bridge between the government and the community by voicing the concern of the community to the government of Southern Sudan
- Supporting and encouraging youth activities
- Promoting cultural and traditional activities
- Identifying community needs and giving appropriate advice with consultation with the head of the mission or colleagues
- Working on leadership training projects
- Seeking scholarships for Southern Sudanese
- Attending to several legal issues or petition the court for alternatives
- Organizing events for participatory democracy
- Attending political, economic and social events
- Being the Contact person for governmental and non-governmental agencies that want to travel to Southern Sudan
- Working closely with several religious organization
